Austen is a first year University of Kent student studying sociology. He joined the Athletics & Cross Country team on arrival at the university in September 2014.

 

Running has always been part of Austen’s life. He has taken part in several junior Falmouth Road races before running the full Falmouth Road Race four years in a row (2010-2013).

 

Austen has also run Les 20 kilomètres de Bruxelles and the Brussels Half Marathon.

 

In the cold November of 2013, Austen took part in a 12 kilometre military obstacle course in Wiltshire, involving numerous walls to claim over and a cold pond to swim across twice.

 

This 300 mile run seems to be the perfect fit for the next challenge.

 

Other than running, Austen is a diehard Boston Red Sox and Bruins fan.
